All our professionals at Alan M. Smolen, DDS, PC maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
 

Alan Smolen, DDS, PC
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dr. Smolen received both his B.S. degree in Chemistry and his D.D.S. from Temple University. He has been practicing restorative and cosmetic dentistry in the Langhorne-Yardley area for over 25 years.

For the last 10 years, Dr. Smolen has elected to continue his education at the renowned Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study and the Piper Education and Research Center specializing in the treatment of TMJ disorders.

He is currently enrolled at NYU's Continuing Dental Education Program. This is a hands-on clinical care course in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Smolen travels to New York every Friday from September to June. This course will enhance his abilities to offer and deliver today's dental techniques and technology more efficiently.

Dr. Smolen is a member of the American Dental Association, Montgomery Bucks Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Each year, he regularly attends continuing education courses on a variety of topics to strive to improve the quality and level of care offered in his office.

He lives in Bucks County with his wife, a local realtor, and daughter. On weekends he enjoys cooking for his family.

Dr. Smolen is extremely proud of the dental team he has built in his practice. They share in his philosophy of the practice of dentistry. The long term relationship achieved between the doctor and his staff is a wonderful benefit to all patients of the practice.

Dawn - Scheduling and Financial Coordinator
With over 20 years experience working in Dr. Smolen's office, Dawn has done just about everything at the front desk. She is the first person you see upon entering the office and the last person you see when you leave.

A graduate of Neshaminy High School, Dawn is interested in helping patients achieve the smile of their dreams.

Dawn lives with her daughter Hannah.

 

 

Sangita - Dental Assistant
Sangita is one of the office's newer additions to Dr. Smolen's staff with over 5 years in the office. She enjoys working with Dr. Smolen and the challenge of creating beautiful smiles unique to each individual patient.

Sangita lives with her husband and two children

Jill  -  Expanded Functions Dental Assistant                             Jill has recently joined Dr. Smolen and his staff and is so excited to be on board.  She is a graduate of Western School of Health and Business in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She feels that the opportnunity to see Dr. Smolen create the "one on one" care for each of his patients has her looking forward to each day she is here.  In her spare time, Jill enjoys gardening, along with traveling, especially back home to visit with her grandson.

 
 
Merri - Dental Hygienist
Merri has been working for Dr. Smolen for over 20 years.. She is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene.

Her dedication to her profession is reinforced through continuing education seminars she attends throughout the year. Merri brings her knowledge and expertise to her patients on a daily basis. She is passionate about educating children about the importance of maintaining their dental health and is the first to volunteer in area schools during Children's Dental Health Month.

Merri lives with her husband. Her son has recently graduated from Hofstra University and is now living in Los Angeles, CA persuing his career in the entertainment business.
 
 

Janice - Dental Hygienist
Janice has been working for Dr. Smolen for 3 years. She is a graduate of Tunxis Community College in Connecticut with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene.

She can be counted on to pay close attention to the needs of her patients. It is her goal to offer the best quality service in patient care.

Janice resides in Newtown with her son and daughter.
