Alan Smolen, DDS, PC

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dr. Smolen received both his B.S. degree in Chemistry and his D.D.S. from Temple University. He has been practicing restorative and cosmetic dentistry in the Langhorne-Yardley area for over 25 years.

For the last 10 years, Dr. Smolen has elected to continue his education at the renowned Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. The Pankey Institute provides the tools to enable dentists to offer their patients the latest advances and trends in cosmetic dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Smolen has studied at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study and the Piper Education and Research Center specializing in the treatment of TMJ disorders.

Dr. Smolen is a member of the American Dental Association, Montgomery Bucks Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Each year, he regularly attends continuing education courses on a variety of topics to strive to improve the quality and level of care offered in his office.

He lives in Bucks County with his family and in his spare time he enjoys gourmet cooking and skiing. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is of utmost importance to him.

Dr. Smolen is extremely proud of the dental team he has built in his practice. They share in his philosophy of the practice of dentistry. The long term relationship achieved between the doctor and his staff is a wonderful benefit to all patients of the practice.

Dawn – Scheduling and Financial Coordinator

With over 16 years experience working in Dr. Smolen’s office, Dawn has done just about everything. She is our “go to person”! She is the first person that you see upon entering the office and the last person you see when you leave.

A graduate of Neshaminy High School, Dawn is interested in helping patients achieve the smile of their dreams!

Dawn lives with her husband and daughter Hannah.

 

Jessye – Dental Assistant

Jessye has worked with Dr. Smolen for over 17 years and is a Certified Dental Assistant. Jessye has earned her Expanded Function Certificate as well.

Jessye believes in community service! She is involved in the DARE program and serves as PTO President at her daughter’s elementary school

Jessye lives with her husband and two children.

 

Sangita – Dental Assistant

Sangita is one of the office’s newer additions to Dr. Smolen’s staff with over 5 years in the office. She enjoys working with Dr. Smolen and the challenge of creating beautiful smiles unique to each individual patient.

Sangita lives with her husband and two children.

 

Merri – Dental Hygienist

Merri has been working for Dr. Smolen for 18 years. She is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene.

Her dedication to her profession is reinforced through continuing education seminars she annually attends. Merri is passionate about educating children about the importance of maintaining their dental health and is the first to volunteer in area schools during Dental Health Month.

Merri lives with her husband and son, now a freshman in college.
